I received word about a female dog needing help in Chennai, India. When I arrived, she was no longer there. However, around 10:30 p.m., I stumbled upon a puppy lying in the pouring rain. Without hesitation, I brought him home and named him Harry. It saddened me to witness the suffering of innocent creatures and question why humans can be so cruel.
Harry was afflicted with severe mange, causing him immense discomfort and pain. He seemed oblivious to his surroundings, consumed only by the agony of incessant itching and scratching. Despite the late hour, I endeavored to alleviate his suffering by giving him a medicated bath, hoping to provide some relief.
After a long and arduous night, Harry finally succumbed to sleep around three in the morning. As I watched him rest, I couldn’t help but wonder about the hardships he endured and resolved to erase the nightmare from his memory. The following morning, I prepared breakfast for him before taking him to the vet for treatment.
At the clinic, Harry was diagnosed with severe scabies and received necessary medication and treatment. He had to be isolated to prevent infecting other dogs. Despite the challenges, I was overjoyed to witness Harry’s gradual improvement and his eagerness for affection.
As days passed, Harry’s condition improved significantly, and he was ready to leave the vet. His life had taken a positive turn—he was healthy, happy, and showered with love and care. Harry’s journey taught me the importance of perseverance, patience, and above all, the transformative power of trust and love.
