We received a distressing message about a helpless soul, a puppy named Timoshka, who was brutally beaten by drunk men in Galle. She was a lost and frightened creature, left alone without her mother’s protection, starving and in pain. For days, she lay on the side of the road, unnoticed by passers-by, until someone finally reached out for help.

The doctor awaited Timoshka at the veterinary clinic in Pars, ready to provide the necessary care and attention she desperately needed. Despite her ordeal, Timoshka’s spirit remained resilient, and with each passing day, she showed signs of improvement.

However, an x-ray revealed the extent of Timoshka’s injuries – a broken hip that caused her great discomfort and restricted her movements. The surgery was deemed necessary, but the cost was substantial. Yet, we were determined to give Timoshka the chance she deserved.

After the successful surgery, Timoshka began her journey to recovery. Despite the pain she endured, her resilience shone through, and she embraced each day with a joyful spirit. With love and care, Timoshka gradually learned to trust again, finding solace in her newfound home.

As Timoshka settled into her shelter, her playful and mischievous nature emerged. Though her past still lingered in her memories, she approached life with a newfound optimism, her face adorned with a constant smile.

Today, Timoshka is thriving in her private room, her resilience and tenacity serving as a testament to the power of love and compassion. Despite her past hardships, she has found solace and security, her spirit unbroken and her future bright.
