When we opened the door, what we saw brought tears to my eyes. About 3 months ago, we received reports from residents about strange noises coming from an uninhabited house. The owner had apparently moved away months ago, leaving suspicion of a lingering creature inside. We arrived at the scene, unable to contact the previous owner, so we called the police to assist in entering the house.

Inside, the place was in disarray from long neglect. What stunned us was discovering a dog lying beside its owner’s bed, whimpering softly. Left behind during the move, the dog had endured months of solitude in the abandoned house. Emaciated and weak, it was little more than a skeleton, unable to stand.

Despite his condition, the dog faithfully kept vigil by the bed, as if waiting for his owner’s return. He greeted us with a glimmer of happiness, perhaps sensing a rescue was at hand. It broke our hearts to see such loyalty go unrewarded.

We brought the dog back to our rescue team, naming him Mart. Over the following months, Mart regained his strength and adapted well to his new life. Always by our side, he showed unwavering loyalty and happiness, a testament to his resilient spirit.

Attempts to contact the owner proved futile—they denied any connection to Mart. The thought of such callous abandonment filled us with sorrow, but we vowed to provide Mart with a life filled with love and security.

Mart is now thriving in our care, a constant reminder of the resilience and loyalty of dogs. We promise to always protect and cherish him, ensuring his future is filled with the happiness and care he deserves, making up for the lonely days he endured in the past.
