The story of Cuko, a poor dog who was shot and left for dead, is a tale of heartbreak and hope. The innocent animal was minding his own business when hunters started firing at him, causing him to flee and fall by the river. For days, he lay there in pain, hungry, thirsty, and terrified. But thanks to the efforts of Fahrudin Caki and other shelter volunteers, Cuko was rescued and given a chance at a new life.

The sight of the injured dog was heartbreaking, and Fahrudin knew that time was of the essence. He and his team rushed to the scene and discovered Cuko lying in a field, unable to stand. The dog was clearly in excruciating pain, and there was no telling whether he would survive.

But Fahrudin was determined to save Cuko, and so were his team. They did everything in their power to keep the dog alive and comfortable, even as he faced what seemed like insurmountable odds. And after six days of intensive care, Cuko was still alive and fighting.

Despite the severe injury to his spine, Cuko had an incredible will to live. The vet team worked tirelessly to strengthen him physically, and then began to assess his chances of surviving the operation to remove the buckshot from his spine. It was uncertain whether he would ever walk again, but the volunteers were committed to helping him in any way they could.

In the end, Cuko’s story is a testament to the power of hope and the resilience of the human (and animal) spirit.

Despite being left for dead by hunters, he refused to give up, and neither did the volunteers who fought for his survival. Thanks to their efforts, Cuko has a chance at a new life, one in which he can run joyfully and freely once again. And that is something truly worth celebrating.
