Malik Shirin moved to another city, leaving behind everything she knew. She lived on meager food provided by kind neighbors, barely enough to sustain her. Yet, the thing that stirred the deepest sympathy in me was her constant state of waiting, a silent vigil that seemed endless.
As the days passed, her health deteriorated due to the lack of proper care. Even when it rained, Shirin did not seek shelter, remaining rooted in her spot. When she finally arrived at our doorstep, her frail body was covered in red ants, a heartbreaking sight that spoke volumes about her suffering.
Poor Shirin was in terrible shape. Her body had almost no red blood cells, unable to produce them on its own. The doctor had to give her an immediate blood transfusion upon her arrival at the vet. Additionally, Shirin’s pelvis was fractured, though it wasn’t serious and would heal with time.
Her sad, soulful eyes broke our hearts. A loyal dog like Shirin did not deserve such harsh treatment. Despite her weakness, we held onto hope that she would recover. At least now, the poor dog wouldn’t have to live alone anymore. Shirin tried her best to move, drink water, and eat, displaying a will to survive that was both inspiring and heartbreaking.
Whether her body could regenerate red blood cells was uncertain; only time would tell. Despite the significant damage she endured, Shirin slowly began to recover. She started to show signs of happiness, as if the years of waiting and suffering had never happened.
What Shirin needed most was a cozy corner and a kind owner to love and protect her. If you can offer her the safety and care she deserves, please contact us. Let’s give Shirin the chance to live the rest of her life in the comfort she so deeply needs.
