Hero Yorkie Pup Fends Off Attacking Coyote To Save Her Little 10-Year-Old Owner

Missy, a Yorkie puppy, has become a true hero after bravely defending her 10-year-old companion, Lily Cowan, from a coyote attack in their Toronto neighborhood. The harrowing incident, captured on video, shows Missy fearlessly confronting the coyote as Lily cries out for help.

“I was screaming and banging on doors,” recalls Lily, recounting the desperate moments when Missy courageously fought off the much larger animal. “I never imagined a coyote would come after us in broad daylight.”

Despite sustaining injuries during the ordeal, including wounds to her leg and body that require surgery, Missy managed to protect Lily from harm. Moved by Missy’s selflessness, Dorothy Kwan, Lily’s mother, launched a GoFundMe campaign to cover the dog’s medical expenses. The response was overwhelming, with donations exceeding their initial goal and continuing to pour in.

“She would do anything for our family,” Dorothy explains proudly. “Missy is our little heroine.”
