During the holidays, we all want to get a gift that will make us happy. We are abandoning the practice of setting goals to start the year, which often does not last during the first few weeks of January. The most burdensome and unmet decisions, approaching absurdity, are “this year I’m going to the gym” or “I’m going to stop drinking.”
For some people, this excessive but fleeting encouragement extends to their desire to have a pet, yes or no, regardless of whether they are able to take care of this animal.
Having an animal at home is not a game, however it seems to some that it is. They realize that keeping them requires a lot of work once they have them, so they simply release them to their fate.
This was the reality faced by the wayward rescue of the St. Louis Pet Shelter, based in St. Louis, Missouri. A truck driver called volunteers after seeing a box containing three small dogs on the side of the road.
According to the driver, despite the fact that he watched them from a distance, the puppies were in a terrible position, very weak and scared, because he had to continue on his way. Animal benefactors quickly arrived at the scene.
It took some time for the rescuers to confirm the information that the bus driver provided upon arrival on the spot. Unfortunately, they found out that three newborn fur babies were abandoned in deplorable conditions by a person who was tired of them.
“These children are really unhappy. They are terrified and hurt as a result of being abandoned this morning. “We will do everything we can to ensure that they have a long and beautiful life,” said The Stray Rescue of the St. Louis representative.
Due to the seriousness of the scenario in which the animals were discovered, the rescue personnel transported them to the shelter as soon as possible. Once they were safe, they were bottle-fed.
They underwent medical care to repair their wounds, which were still open and in some cases infected, after regaining some of their weight and endurance. This led experts to the conclusion that puppies suffer from various diseases. Fortunately, they regained happiness and health again.
“They were in a terrible state. They had open wounds, some of them infected, we found out. “This could mean that they were suffering from various forms of health problems,”the veterinarians continued.
Everyone at the shelter agreed that based on the birthday dates and physical features of the animals, the discovery was the result of someone receiving cute animals as a gift but obviously not liking them very much. They are now waiting for a real home in which they will be adored as they deserve.
