When an animal ends up on the street, and rescuers step in, they pray that each story ends happily. A Pit Bull was spotted on someone’s property hiding beneath a car.
The car was covered with a tarp that made for a safe place for the timid boy. The Pit Bull refused to come out no matter how hard the homeowner tried.
Hope For Paws, a world-renowned rescue organization, received a call about the Pit Bull. They came as quickly as they could. Eldad, the lead rescuer, tried to coax the dog out but he was way too afraid.
The rescuer had no other choice but to use a lead and pull him out. He didn’t want to traumatize the dog any further but he also couldn’t leave him there.
After some due diligence and lots of patience, Eldad was able to pull the dog out. He was careful to pet him first with a towel just in case he lashed out.
But the dog was sweet and friendly. He even let Eldad pet him with his bare hands. The dog was then scanned for a microchip and he had one!
The microchip even had current information on it which is a huge victory. Eldad called the dog’s dad. The dog, named Boy, had never run away before but a neighbor was setting off fireworks.
Boy was so scared that he bolted. Boy’s dad explained that he had been looking for him and was so worried. He was incredibly grateful that his precious dog was found.
Boy was loaded up into Eldad’s car and taken to meet his owner. He was driven to the rescue center and as Boy walked in, he could already smell his family.
He literally began to smile. Eldad opened the door to the room his family was inside of and Boy couldn’t get to them fast enough!
Boy’s family screamed in delight and Boy couldn’t stop wagging his tail. The reunion is too incredible to miss and can be seen in the video below.
We are so grateful for this wonderful ending. So many animals on the street do not have happy homes to go to. Boy’s family never gave up looking for him and we are thrilled they are back together again.
Thank you, Hope For Paws, for all the amazing work you do!
