As pet owners, we often dream of a perfect world where our furry friends and human children coexist in harmony. But for one family, that dream became a reality with the arrival of Drax, a Cane Corso.

Drax was just eight weeks old when he joined his new family. Little did he know, he was about to become the best friend and protector of a new human addition to the family. His mother was pregnant, and as her belly grew in size, Drax started spending more time with her.

Drax was always very gentle with his mother, and when she gave birth to a baby boy, he would observe the new family member from a distance. As the mother focused on early socialization and desensitizing, Drax became more and more fascinated with the baby.

Drax’s favorite pastime was observing every move of the baby. When the baby started learning how to roll, Drax would roll over to show the baby how to do it. He was always right beside the baby every time he hung and jumped in his little jumper. Drax and the baby soon became inseparable.

Despite Drax’s giant size, he always thought of himself as a tiny lapdog. On his birthday, the baby got a ball pit where he used to play with Drax. The two had so much fun together, with the baby even stuffing Drax’s mouth with plastic balls (of which some got destroyed, of course).

The family used to visit the park where Drax would always go crazy. He would slide down and run through tunnels, thinking that the park was made just for him. And when Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus paid the baby and Drax a visit during the baby’s first Christmas, the dog got very excited to meet the couple and was more of a fan of Santa than the baby.

Drax changed his mother’s perspective on how beautiful dogs can be. She started believing that a child can learn a lot from dogs. The two grew up together and became the best pals. Drax not only protected and cared for the baby but also taught him how to walk and play.

In a world full of uncertainties, Drax and the baby proved that dogs can be more than just pets. They can be companions, protectors, and even teachers. Drax may have been a giant, but he had the biggest heart and the purest love for his family.
