In October, two-year-old Branson Figueroa needed skull reconstruction surgery for craniosynostosis. This occurs whenn a baby’s skull closes before the brain is fully formed.
Thankfully, the surgery was a success and little Brandon made an extraordinarily quick recovery, despite his case being one in 50,000.
The Figueroa family, who resides in Nottingham, NH, then celebrated by welcoming a Boston Terrier puppy named Thanos into their home.
Branson and Thanos bonded instantly and quickly grew to be the best of friends.
But the family soon realized that there was something off about Thanos. They brought him to their veterinarian who ran tests on Thanos and believes he may have hydrocephalus, a buildup of fluid that can cause brain damage, which is very similar to Branson’s case.
More tests are required to see the severity of Thanos condition, but vets think he may need life-saving surgery to place a shunt in his skull.
These tests, treatments and surgery are very similar to what his little human had to go through.
“I believe God puts everything into our life for a reason,” Branson’s mom told WMUR. “What are the odds of him having something and our son going through this, you know? It just doesn’t happen.”
Here is another story that will make you smile!
An amazing and heartwarming video has emerged of a man finding an abandoned puppy in a field in Skidra, Greece. The footage shows the puppy’s reaction to being found, jumping around and asking for belly rubs.
One morning, a jogger was on this daily trail in the outskirts of the town when he was greeted by a tiny, starving puppy.
The puppy was hiding behind the bushes and still recovering from the shock of being dumped by his owners.
The jogger went ahead and checked on the helpless puppy. The puppy realized that he had met a kind stranger, so he started following the jogger with a smile on his face. He nuzzled at the jogger’s shoes and begged to be taken somewhere safe.
The jogger petted the puppy and realized that the wee thing wasn’t safe there. The remote wilderness was full of unknown dangers, and even the nearest village was far away from that place. Just 500 yards away was the busy freeway, which could be even more catastrophic to the puppy.
So, the jogger took the puppy home, cleaned him up and gave him a warm meal! He later contacted the local animal shelter and helped the puppy find a nice home too.
What a beautiful rescue! We’re sure the puppy will remember this act of kindness forever!
