Homeless dogs have troubles finding food every single day so they have to do whatever they can in order to fill their bellies. Most of them depend on the generosity of strangers and beg to be fed.
One very ingenious stray that now goes by the name “Subway Sally” found the perfect way to get her free meal every day. You wonder how? Simple, she just gets inside one Subway restaurant and waits for the employees to prepare some food for her. What’s most, they are lucky to have her there every single day.
Sally’s story went viral after a TicTok user named Gio shared the adorable video of her waiting at the restaurant’s door.
“We always feed her,” Gio writes and adds how Sally truly enjoys a piece of cold cut turkey and bacon.
Sally is a loyal customer, but she sometimes gets impatient if her food takes a lot to be on her plate on time, so she goes to “Taco Bell” instead and asks for some food there as well.
The viral video has over 3 million views so far and people love Sally’s resourcefulness.
Some people even doubted Sally is a stray because she’s always nicely groomed and clean, but Gio says it’s like that because one of the neighbors grooms her regularly. He also adds how the reason why Sally is around and not at a shelter is that the nearest shelter is 20 miles away and it’s a high-kill shelter, so she’s doing much better on the streets around all those people who love her and take care of her.
Some also asked Gio to adopt Sally himself, but he says he already has three cats and can’t take her in. And finding her a home is not easy because this town in Mexico where he lives is a poor area and not many people can afford to adopt an animal.
“There are a lot of strays in our town,” Gio said in one of his videos. “I live in a very poor town. More often than not, people can’t pay for pet food.”
And yes, it seems Sally likes her life the way it is. “Multiple people have tried taking her but she never wants to go,” Gio wrote. “I suspect she has a regular place to sleep and possibly care for her puppies.”
“My coworkers and I are still going to feed her, don’t worry about that,” he added.
So I guess we don’t need to be worried for “Subway Sally” as she has just the right people around her and in her life.
