There are extraordinary kind humans who will do anything for their four-legged companions – one of them is Marcus.
Marcus and his dog Pickles met on the streets of Los Angeles. They both have their own hardships and lean on each other.
Until a photographer, John Hwang noticed them and was amazed by their friendship. He even said that “He surely shares the entirety with him, and they go in all places together.”
John, later on, became close with Marcus. They frequently messaged each other and John considered Marcus a brother.
Marcus’ dark days on the streets ended when he was blessed with subsidized housing in Skid Row. It was a tiny room with a shared bathroom and absolutely better than living on the streets.
Of course, Marcus shares this happiness with his best pal Pickles, and live together in their simple home. Once they settled, John decided to pay them a visit without informing Marcus. Yet, he was warmly welcomed.
“(Marcus) has this huge smile on his face and expressed to me ‘I had this sense I had to return downstairs, and right here you are.’ Then we have a tendency to offer each other a completely different oversized hug,” John stated.
John was surprised that Marcus have Pickles in the bigger space. The photographer already knew how much Marcus love his dog but never expected to go past his canine friend.
“I noticed the mattress leaning up in opposition to the wall unused,” Jon said.
“On the ground are the canine bed, a canine bowl for meals and water, and a bunch of blankets strewn out. The blankets and the canine mattress have been essentially one large pile.” He continued.
Marcus affirmed to John that he sleeps on the floor with Pickles. For him, nothing mattered as long as his with his furry best friend. “There is nothing I wouldn’t do for him,” Marcus said.
