A sweet puppy who travels in a pink wheelchair is looking for her forever home. After being abandoned into their care for no fault of her own, two-year-old Grace has been placed up for adoption with Miracle’s Mission, a rescue dedicated to preserving animals from hazardous conditions.
The double amputee can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, but is now in foster care in Devon. Grace is an adventurous dog who enjoys hikes in the woods and “runs so quickly on her wheels” despite her physical limitations.
Victoria Bryceson, who founded Miracle’s Mission in 2015, discussed the crossbreed and said: “Grace is a double amputee who requires wheels for walks. We offer complete training and counseling on how to help a dog with incontinence.
Grace gets along nicely with the other dogs in her foster home, where there are now several. She enjoys playing with them and would ideally live with another dog.
Grace weighs about 10 kg, so her new owners will need to carefully monitor her food consumption to prevent her from gaining weight and putting more strain on her two remaining legs.
She has not yet undergone testing, thus it is unknown if she is capable of coexisting with cats or children.
Grace is very outgoing and enjoys making new friends, so she would be a wonderful addition to any family, Victoria continued.
Animal welfare organization Miracle’s Mission is registered in the UK and primarily operates in the UK, Borneo, and Egypt.
Our purpose is to offer a haven of safety for animals in peril, to spread awareness of the importance of neutering both pets and strays, and to neuter stray dogs and cats to stop the delivery of more animals onto the streets, according to a statement.
From our UK rescue base, “We also rehab and rehome dogs in need, frequently with disabilities.”
