The Osbournes adopt bulldog who was “severely burned” after being set on fire: “Still so full of love”

Many people know the Osbournes, the family of heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne, thanks to their reality show and many media projects.

Recently, the family announced that they have a very special new addition to the family: a rescue dog who was severely burned after being set on fire.

In the latest episode of The Osbournes Podcast, the celeb family revealed that they have a new rescue dog — one who overcame a brutal and heartbreaking backstory.

Sharon Osbourne explains that she first saw the “little angel” in a TikTok video, and learned that he had been set on fire and abandoned before being rescued and taken in by Underdog Heroes Rescue.

Sharon says the rescue organization “saved his life” and gave them a shout-out for their dedicated, life-saving work. The burnt dog, the Osbournes say, was severely underweight and unsociable but made major strides in their care.

In a TikTok video, Underdog Heroes shared the dog’s story, including graphic photos of the “horrific burns all over his face and neck” he had when he first arrived.

But the video also shows the remarkable transformation he made, both in terms of the appearance of his burns and his personality. “His personality is coming out and he is so sweet and loving despite the abuse he endured by humans,” the organization wrote.

In another video, they say that Sharon came in to meet the dog and they clicked right away. “From the moment we arrived for the meet n greet, it was like he immediately knew he was home. He was so comfortable right away and instantly loved everyone.”

“Thank you so much to the Osbourne family for giving this very deserving baby a loving forever home.”

Sharon now says that the dog is “the mellowest, most friendly dog ever.”

“The most beautiful thing about the whole situation to me is that after such terrible things were done to him, he’s still so full of love,” she said on the podcast.

Ozzy chimed in to call their rescue efforts “commendable.” “I’m glad he’s in our house now,” Ozzy says.

While the dog is in good hands and in much better shape, the family was still appalled by the horrible treatment he endured.

“How could a human being do what was done to this dog? I don’t understand how sick people can be,” their daughter Kelly Osbourne, 39, said.

“I don’t know how anyone could have set this f***ing dog on fire!” Ozzy says.

The Osbournes say they are still deciding on a name for their newest family member. They are considering Pork Chop — the name Underdog Heroes called him — as well as Walter, the name people online gave to him (and which got Ozzy’s vote of approval.) They are also considering Baby and Piggy.

The Osbournes are known for their advocacy for animals: Ozzy and Sharon have both appeared in service announcements for PETA, speaking out against fur and animal declawing.

The celebrity couple’s dog pack also includes several other senior rescue dogs, including pomeranians Rocky, Little Bit and Bella, according to CelebrityPets.

It’s unthinkable that someone would set this beautiful dog on fire, but we’re so glad he has a great new home with the Osbournes!
