Animal shelters around the world are doing a great job, to give little fragile animals the help that they desperately need , but apart from that some of these shelters have such amazing workers that come up with unique ideas to help the pets to find families way quicker.
Wayside Waifs Animals Shelter workers take care of a lot of dogs and wanting to give them the home they so much dream they came up with a wonderful idea , to hold an adoption event so people can come and choose the dogs they want to welcome into their loving homes.
The event was a huge success and the lovely dogs one by one found their forever homes.
The workers were so happy when they saw that every dog is getting adopted, but their happiness was short lived when they turned around and noticed that Kenny a Pitbull terrier mix was left without a family, and now without his friends too , since from all the dogs only him was denied a warm loving home.
The staff was confused how the dog was left behind, when he was the sweetest most bubbly and full of life dog there.
“Kenny is a fun, friendly and happy dog,” Casey Waugh, communications and annual giving manager at Wayside Waifs, told The Dodo. . “He’s definitely a people dog! Yesterday a volunteer took him on a field trip. The volunteer described him as ‘a dream.”
People of the shelter that knew Kenny and knew what a good boy he is , would work to find him a home in every possible way, so to achieve that they decided to make a facebook post, sharing Kenny’s story, his personality traits, his likes and dislikes so he gets the home and appreciation he deserves, they shared how Kenny loves walks to the park , how he appreciates belly rubs and adores snuggling with humans.
“Lest you think I’m all about exercise and being on the go, I’m also an affectionate dog who loves attention from you. I like to get my belly rubbed and I like to curl up next to you and cuddle. I also enjoy playing with toys and I can entertain myself with them if you’re busy with other stuff. I’ll make a really wonderful companion for you!” Wayside Waifs wrote.
They shared a pic of him all alone on that big shelter , and wrote that whoever wants to welcome him should have a quiet place without other dogs or children because Kennys energy doesn’t suit well in a crowded home.
The staffs idea paid off, since our Kenny was adopted by a lovely local woman that will give him all the love he missed till now.
