A 16-year-old dog gets adopted by this guy, who makes sure he spends his last days with a caring family.
Zack Schou, a co-founder of Marleys Mutts and the Pawsitive Change initiative, had that impression when he first saw an old dog named Henry at the Tehachapi, California, rescue facility. The 16-year-old dog wasnโt as nimble or active as the other dogs at the shelter and was scruffy with gray spots on his fur.
For a while, Henry struggled to move because of his advanced age, but strangely, this kind dog worked arduously to extract energy from him, and they soon saw him pacing and running around. Zach as a puppy in his garden. His adoptive father found it hard to accept it.
Henry wasnโt supposed to stay with Zack for a very long time. He thought the old dog had just a few months left in him. The dog persisted though, and to Zackโs astonishment, he began to seem younger as time went on.
Henry, despite his age, had little problem finding a home because of his natural vigor and happiness. His new mother adores him, takes excellent care of him, and even posts pictures of their adventures on Instagram.
All because to Zac, who met Henry at the shelter and decided he deserved the best in life, Henry turned from an abandoned old dog at a shelter to a cherished companion life.
